Kryon® POE Oil - Synthetic Lubricant for Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Systems
Kryon® POE Oil are synthetic and polyol ester based-lubricant, which contains specific additives properly formulated for Refrigeration and Air Conditioning applications. Kryon® POE Oil can be used both with HFC refrigerants and with the new low GWP HFO refrigerants family. Moreover they can be used with HCFC refrigerants, such as R22, and with whatever retrofit blend which contains hydrocarbons.
Kryon® POE Oil have been developed in order to satisfy some requests of above mentioned applications.
The main features are:
- Moisture lower than average ( ≤ 30 ppm );
- Neutralizing power against residual moisture;
- Acidity lower than average (< 1 ppm);
- Higher viscosity index;
- Low viscous friction index.
Moreover Kryon® POE Oil are characterised by high solubility with cold refrigerant in vapour phase, high miscibility with refrigerants in liquid phase and low propensity to dragging in hot gas.
Kryon® POE Oil guarantees effective protection against wear and corrosion for all aluminum and steel components, so extending the compressor life and improving its efficiency.

- Superior corrosion protection for all metals
- Limited internal friction for steel and aluminium surfaces
- High stability at high temperatures
Applications:
Kryon® POE Oil are used in low (< -35 °C) and medium (< -5 °C) temperature air conditioning and refrigeration systems.
The excellent lubricating characteristics allow their use both in winter ad in summer or tropical climates with ambient temperatures which exceed 55 °C.
