GK-Lab Kryon ZincMate One-Component Protective Zinc Spray - 6 x 400 ml
Do you need to buy large quantities?
If you often carry out welding, bracket mounting or outdoor unit installations, the 6-can pack of Kryon® ZincMate ensures you always have zinc spray on hand, at a lower cost per can than buying them individually. It is ideal for installers, metal fabricators and teams working across multiple job sites.
Kryon ZincMate by GK-Lab is a light-coloured, high molecular weight, one-component zinc spray for professional use. It protects metal parts exposed to weathering and to the most aggressive industrial atmospheres from corrosion.
Where to use it
- After welding: restores the zinc layer burnt off by the heat on galvanised sheet metal and pipes, preventing the joints from rusting.
- In HVAC systems: protects air ducts, brackets, supports, outdoor condensers, sheet metal cut edges and bolts from corrosion caused by humidity, condensation and temperature swings.
How to use
- Let the metal cool down completely after welding.
- Remove slag, flux residue, rust and mill scale with a wire brush or sandpaper.
- Degrease with a solvent, such as acetone, and let it dry.
- Shake the can vigorously for at least 30 seconds.
- Spray from 20-25 cm in cross passes, applying two thin coats.
- When you have finished, turn the can upside down and spray until only gas comes out, to keep the nozzle from clogging.
